THE AWARD GOES TO...

PART ONE:
GRAMMY AND BAFTA AWARDS

There seem to be awards a-plenty right now, with the Grammy, BAFTA, Elle Style and Brit awards bringing out this years stars of music, fashion and film. The relationship between the three arts has been a close one for a long time now, and style, from classic or quirky, can lead to an actor or musician becoming a worldwide personality. For this reason, the red-carpet is so much more than a chance for the press to see your face: we're more interested in your dress. So who deserves the award for Best Dressed ? The nominees are...

GRAMMY AWARDS

Florence Welch in Givenchy

Hayley Williams in Jeremy Scott

Heidi Klum in Julien MacDonald

Rihanna in Jean Paul Gaultier

BAFTA AWARDS

Gemma Arterton in Yves Saint Laurent

Sarah Harding in Georges Chakra

Hailee Steinfeld in Miu Miu

Emma Stone in Lanvin

Felicity Jones in Chanel and Jimmy Choo

*I did wish the ladies at the Baftas had shortened their hems just an inch or two; an awards ceremony is formal but it doesn't need to be frumpy!

And of course, congratulations to Colleen Atwood who won Best Costumes for Alice In Wonderland. Well deserved.

Check back later for the best of the rest from the Elle Style Awards and Brits!
